Samsung Electronics said it has developed a Wi-Fi technology which is about 5 times faster than current consumer devices.Company said it has developed the 60GHz technology that will offer data speed upto 4.6Gbps,for transferring 1 GB content it will take about 3 seconds.
Samsung also said that devices with its new 60GHz band will be available from next year.
"Unlike the existing 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi technologies,Samsung's 802.11ad standard 60GHz Wi-fi technologies maintains maximum speed by eliminating co-channel interferences, regardless of the number of devices using the same network.",said Samsung.
