| Microsoft To Acquire Equivio Ltd |
Microsoft Corporation is looking to acquire Equivio Ltd,An Israel based text analysis company for $200 million.Microsoft has recently signed a letter of intent to acquire Equivio.Equivio has been working with Microsoft technologies including Windows XP, SQL server and share point server since 2006.
Equivio was founded by Warwick Sharp,Yiftach Ravid and Amir Milo.Equivio's main product is Zoom which is a court approved machine learning platform for the legal area.Microsoft is buying companies outside U.S. to use their overseas cash.
Microsoft recently bought Mojang,the creator of popular video game Minecraft,for $2.5 billion and is now targeting Equivio.Experts believe that Microsoft is aiming to increase the demand of windows phone.
This acquisition will enable Microsoft to limit the availability of Minecraft game to its gaming console and smartphones.
