There is no shortage of messaging app for smartphones,for whatever OS you are using.Software Giant Google is also planning to launch its own messaging app,giving competition to most popular messaging app Whatsapp. The messenger will be free where as Whatsapp cost Rs.55 annually after 1 year.
The app is currently in its developmental stage and is likely to be launched in 2015.Google made an offer of over $10 billion to buy Whatsap, which was bought by Facebook for $19 billion.Unlike other Google app such as Google+,Gmail and the Google Play store,it is not mandatory in messenger to use Google login.Google will also add Indian language support and voice-text messaging.There is no official confirmation from Google about their messaging app.
