Google science fair,program conducted by Google every year.18 year old,Hayley Todesco from Calgary(Canada),won the Google Science Fair for her age group by designing a sand and bacteria filter that could be used to clean up toxic waste around the world.
She has invented a faster way to clean up toxic waste created by oilsands extraction using filters made by sand and bacteria,which made her the Google Science Fair's regional winner for Canada this year.She spent 2 years in developing filters that use sand and bacteria to to detoxify oilsands tailings.
