FBI Seize Silk Road 2.0 Admin Arrested

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said that they have arrested the Silk Road admin Blake Benthall,who uses the alias Defcon on Wednesday.FBI along with Department of Homeland Security and European law enforcement seized Silk Road 2.0.Silk Road is an online marketplace for selling illegal drugs.

In 2013 FBI arrested Ross William Ulbricht also known as "Dread Pirate Roberts" founder of online drug bazzar "Silk Road" that generated $8 million in monthly sales,that attracted 150,000 customers.FBI seized the website but next month new identical website Silk Road 2.0 opened.

The FBI and Us department of Justice claims that Blake Benthall launched the notorious Silk Road 2.0 on November 6,2013.

Benthall charged with conspiring to commit narcotics trafficking,conspiring to commit computer hacking.conspiring to traffic fraudulent identification documents  and money laundering.

“As alleged, Blake Benthall attempted to resurrect Silk Road, a secret website that law enforcement seized last year, by running Silk Road 2.0, a nearly identical criminal enterprise. Let’s be clear—this Silk Road, in whatever form, is the road to prison. Those looking to follow in the footsteps of alleged cybercriminals should understand that we will return as many times as necessary to shut down noxious online criminal bazaars. We don’t get tired.”
Silk Road 2.0 sold its illegal goods on Tor network and generates millions of dollar daily.In order to maintain anonymity of its users Silk Road 2.0 offers transaction to be made in Bitcoin only.

Silk Road 2.0 had over 13,000 listing for controlled substances.
